Laboratory for pumps, hydraulic turbines, gear and hydropower equipment

The laboratory has the following installations: Test rig for energy and cavitation characteristics of model turbines (Francis, Kaplan, Banki, Bulb turbines) small hydropower plants, hydraulic pumps and hydromechanical equipment; Pelton turbine test rig; Facility for studying cavitation phenomenа in pumps and hydrofoils, with the capability to visualize cavitation phenomena; Installation for testing model turbines and turbomachines using air; Installation for testing higher-power pumps (up to 30 kW); Installation for testing lower-power pumps; An educational demonstration installation for pump testing; An experimental installation for testing the characteristics of water valves with diameters up to D = 300 mm; An experimental installation for testing the characteristics of small water valves with diameters up to D = 60 mm; and an experimental installation for testing valve characteristics using air.
